January Free Days (No School):
• January 16 – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday

February Free Days (No School):
• February 15, 16, and 17 – Parent Teacher Conferences

The children may bring in a toy from Christmas on Thursday, January 5, or Friday, January 6. Please do not bring any weapons.

A representative from the Association of the Blind will be doing eye screenings for all the children on Wednesday, January 25. Permission slips will be going home soon with the children. Please return the permission slips before this date.

There will be a P.T.G. meeting on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 P.M. Babysitting services will be available in the snack room.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on February 15, 16 and 17. You will be able to sign up for your conference at the P.T.G. meeting.

Butler Montessori School will host an “Open House” for prospective students on Sunday, February 26 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Friends and relatives are also invited. More information will be sent home to request for volunteers to make cookies, greet our guests, and to help set up and clean up. We need your cooperation to make this event successful.

Reminder: Please be sure your child brings shoes to change into if they wear snow boots to school. Salt comes into the classrooms from the boots.

A sincere thank you to Adam Mohney for presenting St. Nicholas to the children in December. This is his last year as St. Nick, and we are very grateful for donating his time with the children.

Review of Snow Policy – PLEASE NOTE:
Listen to the local Butler radio station, WBUT (AM 1050).

Butler Montessori School follows the delays and closings of the Butler Area School District.
1) If a one-hour delay is posted due to inclement weather, the children may begin arriving at school between 9:30 and 9:45 A.M. The afternoon class is on a normal schedule.
2) If a two-hour delay is posted due to inclement weather, we will follow the schedule as if it were a one-hour delay. The morning children may begin arriving at school between 9:30 and 9:45 A.M. The afternoon class is on a normal schedule.
3) If school is cancelled for the day, Butler Montessori School is cancelled.
